Admissions Information/Tuition Costs

An Art Exhibit will take place at the end of every term. This is a great opportunity for the students to show their best artwork that they've worked so hard on all term long. There is a People's Choice vote at every exhibit where family and friends can vote on their favorite artwork in numerous categories. This is the culmination of our student's hard work and we love getting a chance to show the public what they've accomplished.

**MSOA reserves the right to use any and all artwork created at our school as advertising material to promote our school and also for publication on our website. 

Registration and Enrollment

Forms:

MSOA Westside - Student Application - All students must turn in an application every term unless the annual option is chosen.

Medical Release Form -  All students under the age of 18 must fill out a medical form to be filed in our school office.

Agreement Form - This form is regarding school policies and must be initialed by Student and Parents.


Early enrollment for returning students students for our Spring 2015 term is currently happening.  


Returning Students: Submit your application, if not yet pre-registered by Dec 6, 2014 to take part in enrollment and drive the class . To register, download and print an application, along with all other necessary forms, and mail that along with your $35 registration fee to our mailing address. 


New Students: Submit your application, medical form and agreement by December 6, 2014 to take part in early enrollment on August 15. To register, download and print an application, along with all other necessary forms, and mail that along with your $35 registration fee to our mailing address.

Only returning students/families who registered before our December 6th deadline will be able to have early enrollment and drive the class selection. 
Steps to enroll: First Pre-register with MSOA, if already pre-registered and you did not get a potential class list, pleace contact Trisch-see below.  Send an email trischwentz@msoaonline.com Send an email to Trisch indicating your class preferences.  Please also list 1 (or more) alternate options in case classes are full. If you will only be attending part of the day, please let us know that as well as we strive to make sure everyone gets into their desired class.  The clearer your child's choices are, the smoother the process will be.  Indicating your preferences with a number system is best. Be aware...classes do sometimes fill up with returning students. All enrollment is based on a first come-first serve process.  All emails are timestamped and will be opened and reviewed in order.

Open Enrollment: - This is when registration is open to any student, new and returning students who failed to meet the Dec 6 deadline.  It will begin December 7, 2014.  

Steps to enroll: First review the class schedule, which will be available online in November.  Send an email to  trischwentz@msoaonline.com once application and registration fee for Spring 2015 has been received, indicating the class(es) your child(ren) wish to take. Please also list 1 (or more) alternate options in case classes are full, which is often the case for our highly sought after painting classes.  Currently all enrollment is based on a first come-first serve process.   All emails are time stamped and will be opened and reviewed in order starting to determine class list and schedule.  See example above of format that works best for your email.


Tuition Costs & Fees

Registration Cost:

A $35 non-refundable registration fee is due at the beginning of every term.  This is due from every student.
 
Alternatively, you may register for the entire school year with a $60 non-refundable registration fee that covers both fall and spring terms.  Not only will you save $10 and fill out fewer forms, you will also be considered 'early' registered for the spring term. This option is only applicable in the fall at the beginning of the school year.

Tuition Prices for Fall 2014:

Monday School (10 week term)

1 class - $45 per month     ($112.50 total) + ($10 supply fee) = $122.50
2 classes - $85 per month     ($212.50 total) + ($15 supply fee) = $227.50
3-4 classes (full time) - $110 per month    ($275 total) + ($25 supply fee) = $300


Tuition is paid the 20th of the previous month for all students. 
The last payment will be a payment for only 2 weeks. Please adjust your tuition checks accordingly.  There are two 4-week payments due and one 2-week payment due to cover the 10 week term.  For example:  A full time student would owe a total of $300 for the term, payable as one payment or monthly.  For a term that starts in September that student would owe a $25 supply fee, plus $110 tuition on August 20th for the month of September.  On September 20 October's tuition would be due and on the 20th of October $55 (1/2) for the month of November would be due.  Students who take painting would also have a paint kit fee* in addition to the general supply fee.

*Paint kit prices are determined by type of paint, watercolor or acrylic.  Prices are listed below.


‚ÄčSupply Fee:

A supply fee is due once at the beginning of every term for all students and must be paid with the first month's tuition.  This fee is per student, not per family.  This helps MSOA to cover the cost of non-class specific supplies that help us maintain a clean environment for the students and keep our host church clean as well  The supply fee also covers some introductory basics as well such as paper, pencils, erasers, ink, etc. There also may be additional supplies you will need to purchase for certain classes. See individual class descriptions for details. 


1 class: $10 Supply Fee
2 classes: $15 Supply Fee
3-4 classes / Full Time: $25 Supply Fee

Painting Class Fee:

For those students enrolling in acrylic painting classes, we supply a paint kit with 8 tubes of paint and 5 brushes.  These kits are $45.  Some students use anywhere from 1-4 canvasses as they progress through the class.  Canvasses are $5 each. The payment is due before the first day of classes.  
If you're enrolling in a watercolor class we sell the watercolor paint kit for $25  The payment for the kit should be paid before or on the first day of classes. 

Tuition Discounts:

For full-time students only, we offer a 20% sibling discount on tuition.  A student must be taking 3-4 classes to be considered full-time. To receive the 20% discount, all students would need to be enrolled full time.  Example:  Student 1 is enrolled full time, pays full tuition.  Student 2 is enrolled full time and receives 20% tuition discount.  Any additional siblings could also qualify for the 20% discount as long as they also are enrolled full time.


All students are still required to pay the registration and supply fees, even when receiving the sibling discount.  These fees are per student, not per family.
